This compost extractor uses a manual auger water jet system to efficiently dislodge beneficial microorganisms from compost. Liquid compost extract helps to improve water infiltration and retention, increase root development and carbon sequestration, expand plant nutrient uptake and improve overall plant health, promoting resistance to pests and disease.
Introduced into the 12 gallon hopper, compost passes through a variable-speed auger. This adjustable mechanism allows precise control over the amount of compost entering the extraction chamber.
As it moves through the extractor, water jets along the auger rinse the material and then a sieve filters microorganisms from the solid material. The sieve can be used with different sized mesh screens for various levels of filtration. By adjusting the auger speed and sieve size, you can fine-tune the concentration and sediment load.
